About This Competition
Nigeria Rising Star Season 2 is the country's most prestigious online singing competition, open to all Nigerians aged 16 and above. Contestants upload their best singing performances and compete for votes from across the nation. A panel of industry professionals also judges performances, with their scores combined with public votes to determine the winner.
Season 1 produced 3 record deals and over ₦2M in total opportunities for contestants. Season 2 is bigger, with double the prize pool and brand partnerships from 6 leading Nigerian companies.
Eligibility & Rules
- Open to all Nigerian citizens and residents aged 16 and above
- Contestants must submit an original or cover song performance video (30 sec – 3 min)
- Only one entry per contestant is allowed per competition season
- Videos must be in good quality — minimum 720p resolution
- No offensive, inappropriate, or copyrighted music without permission
- Vote manipulation, bot voting, or any form of fraud results in immediate disqualification
- Judges reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate community guidelines
- Winners must provide valid Nigerian bank account details to receive prizes
